Forecaster Frank Week 4 NFL Picks: Wake Up Time

Last week, I managed a 9-7 record to bring my season record to 26-20-2.

Thursday Night

  • Dal -6 (o/u 45)
  • Cowboys 37 Giants 13

The Cowboys might as well have the deed to Met Life Stadium the way they have owned the Giants over the last decade. Coming off two home losses, the Cowboys come out strong and stomp the Giants again to get back on track.

Sunday at 1

  • Atl -2.5 (o/u 42)
  • Falcons 23 Saints 20

The Falcons and Saints are perhaps the most underrated rivalry in the NFL. The Saints suffered their first loss last week and were banged up at the same time. The Falcons had a chance to beat the Chiefs but played well and need this to avoid falling to 1-3. Look for the Falcons to fly away with the win.

  • Cin -4 (o/u 47)
  • Bengals 37 Panthers 17

The Bengals are 0-3, having lost three frustrating games. Expect them to come out strong against a terrible Panthers and win easily.

  • LAR +3 (o/u 41)
  • Rams 20 Bears 17

Caleb Williams has had his growing pains as the Bears have stumbled out of the gate. The Rams are coming off a big comeback against the 49ers. Coaching can decide this game, as Sean McVeigh will find a way as the Rams win with a late field goal.

  • GB -2.5 (o/u 43.5)
  • Packers 24 Vikings 20

There is hope that Jordan Love can play this week as the Packers host the 3-0 Vikings. Sam Darnold has impressed in Minnesota, but in this league, water finds level, and the Packers usually dominate the Vikings in Lambeau Field.

  • Hou -6.5 (o/u 45.5)
  • Texans 41 Jaguars 13

There is something rotten in Jacksonville. The Jaguars have lost eight of their last nine games, and Trevor Lawrence seems to have lost all confidence in his ability. This one could get ugly, as change may be coming to Northern Florida.

  • Ind +1.5 (o/u 40)
  • Colts 17 Steelers 13

The Steelers have scratched and clawed their way to 3-0. The Colts, meanwhile, are at 1-2 and have played three close games. This one will be tight again, with the Colts winning as a home dog behind Anthony Richardson.

  • NYJ -7.5 (o/u 39.5)
  • Jets 27 Broncos 10

The Jets have fans dreaming of a Super Bowl after they impressed in their first home game. Look for more of the same as they continue to take advantage of a soft schedule.

  • TB +2 (o/u 44)
  • Buccaneers 24 Eagles 16

The Buccaneers defeated the Eagles in the playoffs last season. That seems to be forgotten, as the Eagles are the favorites. The Eagles won last week but struggled in New Orleans. I like the Buccaneers to win this one as Baker Mayfield bounces back after a bad game.

Sunday Late Games

  • Ari -3.5 (o/u 50)
  • Cardinals 27 Commanders 24

The Commanders have been impressive, winning their last two games, and Jayden Daniels has been terrific. The Commanders have not punted, as their offense has been red hot. The trouble is that their defense is not great, and that will cost them in Arizona, as they lose a shootout.

  • NE +10.5 (o/u 40.5)
  • 49ers 16 Patriots 7

This spread is risky, as the 49ers have several key players out and questionable to play. The Patriots are not good; their offense is terrible, but their defense can and will keep them in a game.

  • KC -7.5 (o/u 40)
  • Chiefs 27 Chargers 10

The Chargers limp into Week 4, as several players could miss the game, led by Justin Herbert, who is fighting off an ankle injury. Even a healthy team would struggle against the Chiefs.

  • LV -2 (o/u 37)
  • Raiders 17 Browns 13

Two teams that have been wildly inconsistent and hard to forecast. The Panthers carved up the Raiders' defense, while the Browns stumbled against the Giants. The  Raiders are the home team, and conventional wisdom tells me the home team will win.

Sunday Night

  • Buf +2.5 (o/u 46.5)
  • Bills 27 Ravens 17

The Bills have dominated their last two primetime games. Under the lights again, watch them shine, as the Ravens, even with their win last week, just don't look like they have found their game.

Monday Night

  • Ten +1 (o/u 36.5)
  • Titans 27 Dolphins 3

The Dolphins have looked like the worst team in the league. They have not had a lead at any point this season other than their walk-off win in Week 1. The Titans have yet to win. This one will be another disaster for the Dolphins as another quarterback goes down, but at least GM Chris Grier is not worried about their pathetic offensive line.

  • Det -3.5 (o/u 46.5)
  • Lons 37 Seahawks 17

The Seahawks may be 3-0, but they have played three of the worst teams in the NFL. The Lions are a much better team, and they could dominate and show that they are among the top teams in the NFL. Look for the Lions to roar as Jared Goff takes apart the Seahawks' defense.
